Feature Removed

Vasion deprecated the Control Panel Application (CPA) v1 from the SaaS solution. This legacy feature is no longer available for installation from the Apps tab and CPA Manager, and has been removed from our online documentation. For some manufacturers, both CPA v1 and v2 appeared as installation options. All manufacturers now default to CPA v2 and no longer require the CPA v1/v2 selection.

• Description: Canon supports Simplified Scanning. This use this feature you must be running Printer Apps version 25.0.2457 or later and install an updated Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform MEAP Java ARchive (JAR) file (v1.1.72) on the device. New Feature: Configure IPP(S) Connector

• Description: The Output Automation solution supports the ingestion of print jobs into Output Automation using the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) or IPPS protocols. For more details, see Configure IPP.

New Features and Enhancements

The “Enable Group Membership Sync” option for Identity Sync has been removed from the Admin Console. This feature led to unnecessary syncing of group memberships, which increased storage use. With this change, only relevant group memberships are synced, reducing data load and improving system performance. For more details, see Identity Sync.

New Setting: Restrict Release Portal Access

• Description: This setting prevents end users from directly releasing their held jobs via the Release Portal if the company policy requires them to be physically present at the printer to do so. This feature enhances security by ensuring that end users must walk up to the printer to release their jobs, reducing the risk of print jobs being intercepted or accessed by unauthorized individuals. For more details, see Disable the Release Portal.

• Right-clicking on a printer object now only shows allowed "New / Add" options, and doesn't display options specific to folders. PI-53531
• Selecting the "New / Add" option while a Service Client object is selected only shows allowed options for that object. PI-53530

• Description: The Vasion Mobile App now supports scanning. With Mobile Scanning, users can scan documents on the go and print, text, email, or send them to a cloud storage provider or app. This feature supports Admin-defined cloud storage locations, personal drives, and apps. Feature Enhancement: Email Printing

• Description: Send a single document to multiple printers from one email. Enter each printer email addresses in the “Send To:” field, and the attachments will print on each designated printer. For more details, see Configure Email Printing.

New Setting: Output Automation Confirmed Delivery

• Description: This feature uses PJL USTATUS commands to establish bidirectional communication with supported printers, reporting to the administrator whether the print job succeeded or failed. The printer (depending on the manufacturer) can also report the cause of any failures so an administrator can quickly address the issue without investigation and troubleshooting time. • Description: Kyocera now supports Simplified Scanning.

New Setting: Only Print Attachments - Email Printing

• Description: When enabled on the Service Client's Email Printing tab, email print jobs sent with attachments will only print the attachments, ignoring the body of the email. If there aren't attachments, the body of the email prints. For more details, see Configure Email Printing.
