Program Security Updates

Maintenance releases generally contain all fixed bugs and feature enhancements since the last release. Most hot fixes and security vulnerability updates can be addressed and delivered immediately to customers without waiting for the next available maintenance release. Online documentation and knowledge base sites are updated with information regarding the content of each maintenance release.
  • Maintenance release notes identify the bugs fixed in the release.
  • Maintenance release notes identify the known impacting bugs in the release.
  • Maintenance release notes identify the security vulnerability updates fixed in the release.
  • Customers and partners are encouraged to open cases for bugs or potential security vulnerabilities they find through the PrinterLogic SaaS support team. Reported issues are carefully prioritized and addressed as needed, resulting in either a hot fix, security update, or update in a future maintenance release.

Antivirus Software Statement

Due to the way that PrinterLogic SaaS functions, antivirus software heuristics may flag it as malware. This is a false positive as PrinterLogic SaaS does not contain any trojans, viruses, or other malware. When this happens, it is not the antivirus manufacturer that has marked our software as malware, but it is just the antivirus heuristics for identifying unknown malware based on what it considers to be suspicious behavior. In most cases the false positives occur when PrinterLogic SaaS is upgraded to a new version that has not yet been explicitly marked as safe by the antivirus manufacturers, and generally an antivirus definitions file update will be released that stops the false positives from occurring until the next update.

All Vasion applications are compiled directly from the source on privately controlled servers. The servers have antivirus applications running on them, and have restricted access. The various executables are digitally signed immediately after compiling, and both tasks are done on the same server. There is no opportunity for third parties to interrupt this process or modify the results.

If you would like to completely stop the false positives from occurring, you can exclude the Vasion folders from antivirus scans. Antivirus Exclusions.
