Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)

EDW is currently only available for use with Windows OS.

As a PrinterLogic user, you may need to mine your data to use in your own Business Intelligence (BI) tools. The EDW feature is a self-service tool for Virtual Appliance and SaaS customers. The PrinterLogic Admin Console will allow you to generate a token and download a utility to accomplish this as long as you use a Microsoft SQL database.

EDW enables business analysts to create custom reports for resources managed with PrinterLogic. For example, print jobs in a specific time frame filtered by printer type, region, paper type, black/white vs. color, etc. The design uses your reporting software by proficient users with standard BI tools such as Crystal Reports, Domo, Tableau, and others.

  • Dimensional Modeling is structured so that the tables, attributes, and values should be named clearly and descriptively, so the data structure can stand alone from the data source.
  • The business analyst who uses EDW does not necessarily need an understanding of PrinterLogic to use the EDW data for reporting. However, because the data provided is related to sources PrinterLogic tracks, the PrinterLogic administrator must have it set up and configured correctly before running the reports.
  • The dimensions and facts required to build your reports are available in the EDW Dimesions document.
