Driver/Profile Repository

The Driver/Profile Repository is the management hub for all drivers and profiles in your environment. It is located on Tools then Driver/Profile Repository in the Admin Console.

Upload new drivers, create profiles, and manage both from the repository. Drivers are listed alphabetically. Drivers can't be edited, but driver profiles can. With how different each driver's settings are, profiles are only compatible with the driver they were made with and some newer versions of that same driver. Some profiles aren't compatible if the driver versions are too far apart and the internal settings have changed significantly. Click the triangle next to the driver to expand and view its profiles.

The checkboxes you see next to the drivers populate automatically when the driver is uploaded and are the operating systems you want it to support within the application. This does not mean that checking the box for Mac on a Windows driver will make the driver support Macs. Rather the checked boxes determine which drop-down fields the driver will show up on the printer object's Drivers/Profiles Tab. For example, an uploaded driver already has the boxes checked for Windows 8 / 10 x86 and Windows 8 /10 x64 and would be visible in both drop-downs on the printer object's Drivers/Profiles Tab. By unchecking the Windows 8 / 10 x86 box, the driver would no longer show as an option in the drop-down.

Below is an overview of the settings and features available in the Driver/Profile Repository.
