Messenger Hub Overview
At PrinterLogic, we strive to improve our customer’s experience, including the ways in which we communicate with you. We’ve implemented a new messenger hub to provide in-app messaging regarding recent updates, new feature announcements, and quick access to our resource guides.
What is the Messenger Hub?
The Messenger Hub is an in-app communication platform that lets us provide the following:
- Real-time notifications for feature updates.
- Quick access to our application guides.
- Product Tours for onboarding and new features.
The Messenger Hub is currently available for US-based customers only, but we are working to include it in other regions later this year. The Messenger Hub is not a chatbot with live representatives; bots handle interactions through predefined prompts.
Messenger Hub Tabs
Here we'll cover the four different tabs the messenger may display and the type of content associated with each. The Home and Messages tabs show for each user by default.
The Home tab displays:
The News and Tasks tabs will only show when content is available. News items are visible for an appropriate time before being removed, and create a copy of the item in the Messages tab for later review. The Tasks tab will only show if you've received a checklist. Checklists can be completed at your leisure or dismissed.
Messages
When we have a product announcement or release a new feature, you'll receive a message after signing into the Admin Console. These announcements, and interactions with guided assistance, are stored in the Messages tab and can be reviewed at any time.
If there is a new message or news item that you haven't seen, the icon will have an additional bubble next to it that includes the number of unread messages.
When the hub is opened, the bubble displays on the tab with the new message.
