Simplified Scanning Report

The Simplified Scanning report is a great tool to help with auditing the amount of scanning done in your environment, checking usage patterns, and tracking for charge-back purposes.

Overview

Navigate to this report in the Admin Console by going to Reports then Print Job Records. Select the drop-down in the Report Types section and select Simplified Scanning.

Report Options

The report options include Start/End Date and Time, Printer Name, Document Name, and Destination.

Currently, there is no option for specifying a date range. Removing the date will give you all scanned jobs, which can be exported and sorted. However, this functionality is under development.

After you've selected the Report Options variable(s), click Run Report.

Report Content

The Print Job Records/Simplified Scanning report can provide many different types of data. The data that appears in the reports comes from the PrinterLogic database.

The Data Displayed is:

  • Date - Date the scan was made.
  • Time - Time the scan was made.
  • User Name - User that performed the scan.
  • Printer Name - Name of the printer used as defined in the Tree View.
  • Job Type - Whether it was a Scan to Email, Scan to Cloud, etc. (Example: Email, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.)
  • Document Name - Name of the document scanned (The name showing will depend on options set in Tools then Settings then Printing).
  • Paper Size - Paper size printed to (Example: Letter, Legal, A4, etc.).
  • Pages - How many pages were included in the scan.
  • Destination - Email or folder location the scan was sent to.
